Before Words, There is Music
Individual Music Therapy
I offer one-to-one music therapy sessions for children, young people and adults across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.
Sessions can take place in schools, homes, care settings, or in a private therapy space in the Cheltenham/Andoversford area. Alternative venues can also be explored depending on individual needs and circumstances.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is tailored to the individual. Music therapy can support emotional wellbeing, communication, self-expression, confidence, relationships, and mental health. No musical experience is required.

Group Music Therapy
I offer group music therapy for children, young people and adults who may benefit from connecting with others through music. Groups are carefully thought out based on individual needs.
Groups can be particularly helpful for young people who struggle with social confidence, find it difficult to relate to others, or would benefit from developing communication and relationship skills in a supportive environment.
Music therapy groups provide opportunities for creativity, self-expression, belonging and shared experiences. They can also be a cost-effective way for schools, organisations and families to access therapeutic support for several people at once.

About Me
Hello, I am Beth Scott, a HCPC-registered Music Therapist, member of the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT), and founder of The Beat Drop
I work with children, teenagers and adults across a variety of settings, including schools, community services, care homes and private practice.
My approach is warm, relational and informed by psychotherapy. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where people can explore their experiences through music, develop meaningful connections, and feel heard and understood.
